DOMENICO ORLANDO
Domenico Orlando principal oboist of the Leipzig Gewandhausorchester since 2009. In his brilliant career he adorned himself of numerous prizes in prestigious competition such as Tomassini di Petritoli or the international oboe competition in Tokyo. He has performed on aspired stages among which Teatro alla Scala in Milan and Accademia di Santa Cecilia. Passion for his study, instrument and the precious harmony with Gewandhaus under the guide of the highly valued director Riccardo Chailly have allowed him to perfect the technique and expression of sound curating and interpeting its most deepest shades of colour.
